Changes to the Child Dental Benefit Scheme
As of the 1st of January 2017, it was announced that changes would be made to the Child Dental Benefit Scheme (CDBS). The cap for dental treatment has been reduced to $700 over a two year period.
If a child or teenager already started their two year cap period in 2016, they can access the rest of the previous cap amount of $1000 until the 31st of December 2017, provided the child is eligible for the CDBS in 2017.
